NYCLA’s officers note with sadness the death of our past-president Klaus Eppler, at the age of 93.  Klaus was our president from 1995-96.  He was a partner at Proskauer, the home of so many presidents of so many different bar associations.  Klaus’s love for NYCLA was demonstrated by his active membership on our board, including its audit committee, almost right up to the very end of his life.  We valued his advice and counsel.  He was active and engaged, including making plans for trips and family events that have not yet arrived, and for him now never will.  We admire his spirit and the zest for life those plans represented.  He was even at a Proskauer partners’ meeting just two weeks ago.  Klaus was a lawyer’s lawyer, and we will miss him.  We extend condolences to his daughters Karen and Amy.
