Since its inception, NYCLA has been at the forefront of most legal debates in the country. We have provided legal education for more than 40 years.
Our panel of experts, an attorney specializing in family and matrimonial law, and an attorney specializing in immigration and nationality law, will discuss issues relating to immigration law as it arises in prenuptial agreements and divorce proceedings. They will address how the veracity of a marriage is determined when questions of citizenship arise, along with focusing on ethical issues that arise in such matters.

About the Panelists
Martin E. Friedlander, the founding partner of Martin Friedlander, PC., is an attorney who has been practicing matrimonial law for over twenty years. He specializes in complex matrimonial and high net worth matters. Mr. Friedlander started his law career by interning and later becoming the associate to Jeffrey S. Sunshine, Esq. who is now the Administrative Judge for Matrimonial matters in Kings County. He has litigated cases involving the Hague Convention and also specializes in Arbitration and Mediation and has extensive knowledge on all issues relating to a Get.
Michael Wildes is a managing partner at Wildes & Weinberg P.C. He is a frequent participant on professional panels and commentator on network television and radio with regard to corporate immigration law, employer sanction work and compliance. .A former federal prosecutor, he has testified on Capitol Hill in connection with anti-terrorism legislation and is internationally renowned for his successful representation of distinguished individuals and corporate clients. Some of Michael Wildes recent clients include First Lady Melania Trump, famed artists Sarah Brightman, Lionel Richie, Boy George, many of the former Miss Universes’ as well as soccer icon Pele, master Chef Jean-Georges, and other talented artists.
