Since its inception, NYCLA has been at the forefront of most legal debates in the country. We have provided legal education for more than 40 years.
People are familiar with the old saying “the shoemaker’s children always go barefoot,” when they are referring to the fact that those closest to an expert often do not reap the benefit of that expertise. Unfortunately, this is true for many attorneys, even estate planning professionals. This program is designed to educate attorneys on how to make an action plan to protect yourself, your family and your practice. This practical “how to” program will review practical asset protection planning steps practitioners should consider, current generation of insurance options that may help practitioners and other practical steps they should consider. While many of these planning ideas are suitable for clients, the focus of this program is helping YOU – the practitioner. Based on their own experiences with personal planning, our speakers will use real life examples and planning techniques to educate you about often overlooked steps you might want to take NOW. As time passes, it becomes more expensive, difficult or even impossible to pursue planning. Just as with client matters, planning often needs to be implemented before an issue arises. ALL attorneys need to give as much attention to their own planning as they do to their clients’ needs.
