Join us for a discussion of the do’s and don’ts of filing names and sex change petitions, the Gender Recognition Act, and the recent administrative order creating privacy protections when filing petitions.
Our panelists will also discuss common issues affecting transgender members of the community and individuals seeking name changes due to safety concerns.
The program will conclude with a discussion of allyship, led by the co-chairs of NYCLA’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in the Law Committee.
