David Paul Horowitz’s Advanced Mediation Training in Personal Injury is Part 146 Approved for 16 hours of Advanced Mediation Training, 8/29/2022 – 8/30/2027
Successful participants will receive certification for Advanced Personal Injury Mediation Training and will earn 18 CLE credits.
This sixteen-hour training will include lectures, roundtable discussions, technique demonstrations, group discussions, and role-plays. Each trainee will have multiple opportunities to serve as a mediator, party to the action, and attorney in role-plays which will be conducted in small breakout groups. All role-plays will be observed and de-briefed with trainees receiving structured, constructive feedback. Trainees will produce short self-reflection written assignments, utilize self-assessment tools, engage in group discussion, and complete questionnaires and polling.
NOTE: Trainees are expected to prepare for each session by doing the assigned readings prior to each class, including the first class. Materials for the first class will be distributed no later than the Friday before that class. All trainees at time of registration will be required to complete a demographic questionnaire identifying years in practice, main practice area, years’ experience in main practice area, years of ADR experience as a mediator and approximate number of mediations conducted.
