COURSE DETAILS

The evening begins with a discussion of the fact that attorneys and firms have increasingly been targets of cyber breaches. Even sole practitioners are not too small to be attractive targets to cyber criminals. Attorneys need to know why they are targeted, what occurs with identity theft, how to avoid popular scams, deal with password, as well as what cyber insurances covers actually covers, ransomware and backup, as well as best practices for good cyber hygiene.

The second session will focus on the major current federal and state provisions for New York surviving spouses, including the history and benefits of the current protections, as well as recent proposals to improve protections for more New Yorkers.
