NYCLA ANNUAL MEETING TO TAKE PLACE ON MAY 27

May 13, 2010 – New York, NY – The New York County Lawyers’ Association (NYCLA) is having its Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 27 beginning at 5:30 PM at the NYCLA Home of Law at 14 Vesey Street in Lower Manhattan. Following the induction ceremony of the Association’s new officers, a celebration will take place. The officers to be inducted are: James B. Kobak Jr., partner at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, as president; Stewart D. Aaron, partner at Arnold & Porter LLP and president of the NYCLA Foundation, as president elect; Barbara Moses, principal at Morvillo, Abramowitz, Grand, Iason, Anello & Bohrer, P.C., as vice president; Susan J. Walsh, LLP, partner at Moskowitz, Book & Walsh, as secretary; and Gail Donoghue, retired, former special counsel to the Corporation Counsel of the City of New York and member of the Law Department’s Executive Staff, as treasurer.

The New York County Lawyers’ Association (www.nycla.org) was founded in 1908 as the first major bar association in the country that admitted members without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, gender or sexual identity. Since its inception, it has pioneered some of the most far-reaching and tangible reforms in American jurisprudence and has continuously played an active role in legal developments and public policy.
