From Columbine to the present, there have been 47 documented mass shootings, resulting in 642 victims, over half of which were fatalities. Such data is noted in a report released by NYCLA that analyzes proposed federal gun control legislation to provide some clarity on how the government can best move forward with proposed legislation based on lessons learned from recent shootings.

On Monday, March 18 at 5:30 p.m., NYCLA and Arnold & Porter LLP will host an event to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark right-to-counsel decision in Gideon v. Wainwright.
