NYCLA Issues Report on New York Uniform Bar Exam Proposal: Recommends one-year study period to assess UBE

NYCLA published its Report on the New York Uniform Bar Exam Proposal. The Report explains how reasonable arguments can be made for and against the adoption of the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE) by New York State, and therefore NYCLA supports a one-year study period during which these arguments can be fully assessed.

NYCLA President Lewis Tesser Sends Letter to New York Post Editor on Attack of Judge Joan Madden

The Post continues its attacks on judges assigned to cases involving lawyers with ties to former Speaker Sheldon Silver. Most recently, the Post attacked Judge Joan Madden, who sits in the New York City asbestos court, where many cases are brought by Silver's former law firm Weitz & Luxenberg.
